Market lean
Alex Toohey sits at a neutral hold because a season-ending knee surgery and his release from the Golden State Warriors have completely cleared him from active rotations, leaving buyers with nothing to chase until he finds a new squad and proves his health.
Season-ending knee surgery and a subsequent waiver from the Golden State Warriors have brought a sharp halt to the collecting momentum for forward Alex Toohey. After being cut by the franchise that initially brought him in as a top draft choice, his unnumbered 2025-26 Bowman Chrome Red RC sits in a quiet holding pattern.
Raw singles for this Bowman Chrome Red RC card currently trade for pocket change, registering a single-dollar last sale amid dormant order books. Buyers looking for active floor time or rotation highlights will find no short-term chase here, as the forward pivots entirely to a lengthy rehabilitation road.
Patient collectors willing to stash these raw singles are holding purely for an eventual roster return down the line. Until a new landing spot opens up and full health is cleared, comps will remain locked at the bottom of the checklist.
Hobby takeaway
Collectors holding copies of his 2025-26 Bowman Chrome Red RC should sit tight and wait out the rehab timeline before making any moves.
Season lines, role, and the box score levers that move the Red RC chase and checklist.
Season-ending knee surgery has brought a sudden halt to forward Alex Toohey and his outlook on the 2025-26 checklist. Waived by the Golden State Warriors after being selected with their top pick, the Australian prospect now faces a long road to recovery that completely shifts the valuation of his raw stock.

Alex Toohey is a Canberra forward who reached the Golden State Warriors as the No. 52 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft (selected by Phoenix and traded on draft night) after NBL time with the Sydney Kings. A season-ending left knee injury cut his rookie year short: Golden State waived him in December 2025 with 0 NBA regular-season games and only two Santa Cruz G League appearances. The Warriors brought him back around 2026 Summer League for rehab (he did not play), and he is targeting a return for 2026-27 if the knee clears and he lands a new deal. For Bowman Red RC collectors, checklist heat stays quiet until countable NBA minutes show up.
Key notes: Hometown: Canberra, Australia; 2025: Drafted No. 52 overall (Warriors); Status: Injured - still rehabbing; 2025-26: 0 NBA RS games; Summer League 2026: rehab only / did not play.
